Coors Russian team on Beer Academy
The Beer Academy has hosted its first team of students from overseas. To coincide with Coors Brewers launching its global flagship brand (Coors Fine Light Beer) in Moscow and St Petersburg a group has visited Burton on Trent and taken part in the foundation course, the first stage in what it sees as a long-term commitment to the Russian market.
“Our Russian-based brewing and distribution partner Pivovar Ivan Taranov Brewery Group of Kaliningrad, near the Polish border was carefully selected and we are confident that the quality of Coors Fine Light Beer is fully guaranteed.”
A team from Coors Brewers’ UK headquarters at Burton-on-Trent has carried out much of the market development work, but now the company has taken on a largely Russian team to run its Moscow-based sales and marketing operation.
David Green, who has worked for Coors in a number of different UK and international roles, is leading the operation as general manager. He is supported by employees including Anastasia Gorodetskaya as finance director and Dmitri Komarov as marketing director.
