4th February 2012
Welcome to the Beer Academy

One Day Foundation Course
Accredited by City & Guilds at NVQ Level 1

This Course Covers:
What makes beer different, how to taste beer, beer styles (13 beers tasted), beer and food matching (practical), beer presentation, beer and lifestyle & the beer market.

You will learn about how beer is made, its ingredients and how they impact on flavour. You will sample a range of beer styles and pair some of them with different foods. You will explore some of the lifestyle aspects of beer drinking and the issues in the modern beer market. The course is a chance to 'ask the brewer' since our trainers are all experienced brewers who enjoy talking about the product as much as brewing it! Most of all we hope the course is informative and loads of fun.

Feedback from some of our happy clients:

" It was terrific to learn some more about the brewing process, matching food to beer and the industry as a whole. I was with a fab mix of people: 2 sets of guys who'd been brought the course as a present, there was a hubby & wife team of 1st time cafe owners searching for new premises in either Manchester or Leeds, there were professional brewers and a man who was 2 weeks away from opening a pub in the Cotswolds I'd highly recommend getting on a course if you can. I really recommend the course if you want to learn some more indepth about beer from a man who's had 38 years of brewing experience: you just can't argue with that!"
