Welcome to the Beer Academy

Feedback

Many thanks to the Beer Academy for running an excellent advanced course, very well executed & very informative. I have since presented to some of the WTBS Senior Management & Supply Chain Teams, food & beer combinations. The response was well received & impressed at what there is to offer in the world of beer.

Well done on putting together such a good course. I really enjoyed it, and feel like I now have a much better appreciation of all things beer-related. The course structure and content were excellent, as were all the course materials - the slideshow and samples as well as the course notes. There was a lot of content, but everything was relevant and presented in a logical and clear manner. The speaker, was excellent, as befits his many years in the brewing industry. All in all, a very enjoyable and informative course, so thanks again.

I think the Carlsberg & Beer Academy leads the way in providing what I see as increasingly valuable education for those selling Beer to the off trade customers. Opportunities for food matching Beers needs to be grasped by multiple retailers. The Beer Education Trust course certainly inspired me to see what can be done around customer education and increasing sales.

I attended the Foundation Course on Wednesday 25th February and it was very educational, answered a lot of questions that I was unsure of and should now make me feel more confident when dealing with customer queries.

I attend the Foundation Course on 29th January 2009 - It was great, I've learnt about the beer making process where, the flavours come from & have an idea of food & beer matching.

Working closley with the Beer Academy, we adapted the Foundation Course to our induction training programme and the resulting new one-day Induction Course delivered by the Beer Academy has proved tremendously successful in enthusing and motivating our new starters.

Knowledge of raw materials and what happens in the brewing process was excellent. The tasting session was fantastic. I did not realise there were so many flavours, aromas etc.

We were invited to hold beer and food tasting sessions at the embryo Beers of the World Show which took place alongside the BBC Good Food Summer event at Birmingham's NEC. Over 5000 potential Academy customers passed through its turnstiles.

Ideal after your AGM, just ask The British Association of Plant Breeders AGM or the Pulmonary Hypertension Association annual conference who all enjoyed an informative talk and tasting of a wide variety of beers.

We have held a number of beer tasting sessions for as few as two people even with a romantic twist too if you wish, held in the comfort of our meeting rooms. Feedback from one our clients, "A quick note to say thank you for organising the beer tasting with the speaker. We both had a lovely time (and I've now been converted to two different beers, which frankly exceeded my wildest expectations!!!)."

The British Museum have regularly contacted us to hold beer tasting sessions related to their fantastic programme of events. We recently held an American Beer Tasting on 4 July to spotlight American beers to guests attending an evening exhibition of US prints. We have also held a number of sessions with Chinese beers for visitors inspecting the Terracotta Army.

The Beer Academy conducted several entertaining and knowledgeable beer and food tastings sessions at the Publican Live exhibition (2008) which proved even more popular than the wine sampling. Every session was over subscribed!

"I booked the Beer Academy for my 30th Birthday and it was the best party I have ever had. The presenter was fun and knowledgeable and judged the mood of the party perfectly which meant that the party was given even more energy. The event was full of laughs and some friendly competition. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I would recommend it to anyone who likes having fun and drinking beer."
