We are using as our model the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and are very lucky to have them as supporters.

About the Beer Academy

The Beer Education Trust, which trades as the Beer Academy, is an organisation whose aim is, to quote our Mission Statement!..

To be recognised as a world leader in the provision of education and training in the understanding and appreciation of beer.

I appreciate that it sounds a bit dry, which our courses definitely aren't, so how about this?... (sorry if you already caught it on our front page, but it's so good I didn't want you to miss it!)

So, how are we going to achieve our aim?

To achieve this mission, the Beer Academy will offer a range of educational and training packages designed to:

  • Meet the needs of professionals in the brewing, retailing and hospitality sectors for relevant vocational knowledge and qualifications in beer.
  • Interest, enthuse and excite customers, the media and the general public in the appreciation of beer.

This means that our courses are open to, and designed to suit, everyone whether they work in the trade or not!

Some feedback from our courses:

Knowledge of raw materials & what happens in the brewing process was excellent. The tasting session was fantastic - I did not realise there where so many flavours, smells etc
Inbev delegate - Nov 2005

The course can't be improved. It was great fun and very informative. Lecturer oozed enthusiasm
SAB Miller delegate - Jan 2006

I think it was fantastic, great fun, very informative and I learned a great deal. A great birthday present
